Researchers Tenzin Wangmo and Nadine Felber working on the NRP 77 project RESOURCE (Smart Home Technology Used in the Care of Elderly People), together with colleagues and other stakeholders, will be leading a three-day event on the topic “Smart Home Technologies and The Elderly” at the Fondation Brocher. The workshop has four goals:
- To stimulate a discussion on the use of smart home technologies for the elderly;
- To provide networking opportunities among participants;
- To publish a synopsis of the meeting, including findings and recommendations, in the journal of the Swiss Society of Gerontology.
- Publication of the planned book “Smart Home Solutions in Caregiving for the Elderly: Ethical and Social Limits” (working title), to be edited by two of the organisers (Nadine A. Felber and Félix Pageau).
